Tessuti patterns Lois dress

It is so hot at the moment that I keep running out of clothes. Normally one or two very hot weather dresses will suffice for the British climate, but this years hot spell has lasted soooo long!

I made up some stashed, but precious Nani iro double gauze into a Tessuti patterns Lois dress. I have made this dress before in a silk velvet fabric to wear to a wedding reception. I bought the pattern as soon as it was released pretty much and I think its so versatile. The shape looks dressy or less so depending on fabric choice and I really want a linen as well as a silk satin version. This version I have just finished is perfect for all the occasions. I would just as happily wear it to the beach as I would to a wedding!

I cannot comment on the instructions as I didn't follow them, but the construction is pretty straight forward. I just about got away with not adding a zip because I chose not to go too fitted, which just made the whole thing even easier.

I'm not sure if the print I used is still available, but it was from Miss Matabi. If you are UK based then check out Guthrie and Ghani as they have some lovely Nani Iro prints in stock at the moment!
